Phased Classroom Renovation Project Update

Phase two of East Holmes Local Schools’ Phased Classroom Renovation Project is well underway, with steady progress taking place this summer at Berlin, Chestnut Ridge, and Hiland.

Now three weeks into construction, crews have completed demolition and cleaning work in all three buildings and have moved into the next stages of renovation. This summer’s planned updates include fresh paint, new interior room signage, upgraded lighting, and new furniture, all aimed at creating refreshed, welcoming learning environments for students and staff.

At Berlin, casework installation has started on the first floor, gridwork for drop ceilings is underway throughout the building, and electrical work for new lighting continues.

At Chestnut Ridge, casework installation has begun in several rooms, ceiling grid installation is progressing throughout the building, and electrical work is ongoing. New lighting has already been installed in several rooms, and furniture has been delivered.

At Hiland, classroom casework installation is complete and has started in the main office. Ceiling gridwork is nearing completion in classrooms and has also begun in the office area. New lighting installation is complete in classrooms, furniture has been delivered, and flooring installation is complete in classrooms and continues in the hallway.

The district remains on track to complete these improvements before the start of the school year. East Holmes Local Schools looks forward to sharing additional updates throughout the summer as the transformation continues at each building.
